Process technicians for coating technology prepare and coat different surfaces like wood, metal or plastic surfaces with different colors and lacquers either by machine or manually. In addition they learn how to remove old coatings and how to apply corrosion protection materials. They use, supervise and maintain automatic machines, which are partly computer-controlled. They plan operational processes, coordinate these processes and prepare components for coating. In addition they are responsible for continuous quality control.

Duration of apprenticeship:
3 years

Prerequisites:
CSE or secondary school graduation with school grade 3 or better in the major subjects.
