Preparation of Substructure:

All deck areas have to be blasted by the shipyard and pretreated with intact shopprimer. These areas have to be dry, clean and free from rust, oil and other foreign matter.

Other deck types upon request.

Fire rating:

TEFROTEX® VISCOELASTIC complies with SOLAS 1974 and IMO Resolution A 653 (16) / A 687 (17), FTP-Code Part 2 and Part 6.

TEFROTEX VISCOELASTIC

Sound-damping viscoelastic deck covering for inside and outside decks onboard ship

Properties:

sound-damping underlay for sandwich constructions in
connection with various top layers according to purpose of use
available as self-levelling or thixotropic material
not readily ignitable, therefore combination with all toplayers possible
high sound damping effect for impact sound and structure-borne noise problems due
to a high loss factor for a wide frequency range further informatioon: see separate sound technical leaflets
very good adhesion to pretreated steel-,aluminium and galvanized decks
ready to walk on after 12-14 hours (20 °C)

Standard Thickness: TEFROTEX VISCOELASTIC: Toplayer:	1,0 - 2,0 mm depending on type and requirements
Density: TEFROTEX VISCOELASTIC	approx. 1,4 kg/m²/mm
