Preparation of Substructure:

The areas have to be dry, clean and free from rust, oil and other foreign matters. Steel-deck areas blasted and treated with an epoxy-primer which is fast to saponification have to be treated with one coat TEFROTEX ® SF PRIMER. Other types of deck upon request.

Fire rating:

TEFROKA® EP complies with SOLAS 1974 and IMO Resolution A.653(16)/A.687(17), FTP-Code Part 2 and Part 6.

TEFROKA EP

Ship-deck-covering, 2-component epoxy resin system, solvent-free. To be used as primary deck covering by mixing with fire dried silica sand.

Properties:

jointless
very fast curing
high abrasion resistance
very good adhesion to pretreated steel deck surfaces resp. on primary deck coverings type TEFROTEX® or TEFROKA®
resistant against sea-water
withstands thinned mineral acids/lyes, mineral oil, grease
open for foot traffic after 12 hours
